A Cole Camp man suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Benton County on Friday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash involved northbound vehicles- a 2015 Dodge, driven by 23-year-old Dustin Renfro, of Lincoln, and a 2016 Polaris ATV, driven by 55-year-old Russell Meyer. The crash reportedly occurred as Renfro was attempting to pass Meyer’s vehicle, and Meyer made a left turn, and his ATV traveled into the path of and struck Renfro’s vehicle.
While Renfro reportedly was not injured, Meyer, who reportedly was not wearing a safety device, was flown by Air E.M.S. to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The crash happened just before 6:20 p.m. on Route W, three-quarters of a mile south of Missouri Highway 52.
