During his report at the Slater City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 2, Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri invited area residents to the city for its Independence Day Celebration.

Allegri urges residents if they want to continue to be able to shoot off fireworks within the city limits, everybody needs to play by the rules.

Allegri said the time to stop shooting off fireworks is 9 o’clock each night, except for Independence Day, and the time is 11 o’clock.
