Several area communities will be Celebrating America’s Birthday on Thursday, July 4. Some of them include:
Marshall’s Independence Day celebration is scheduled to take place at the former Habilitation Center, with entertainment, food and fireworks. The fireworks show is scheduled to begin around dusk near the Marshall Habilitation Center Lake.
The Village of Arrow Rock will celebrate with a parade that begins at 2 p.m. It will run the length of Main Street from the Old Schoolhouse to the J. Huston Tavern.
The city of Carrollton’s CarrollTON of Fun Day runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Carrollton City Park. There is no cost for most events and entertainment. There will be a 5K in the morning and a fireworks display at night.
In Boonville, Independence Day with a fireworks spectacular is scheduled to be at Kemper Park, with shoot time around 9:15 p.m.
The city of Lexington fireworks display will start at dusk at the Lexington Ball Park.
The city of Blackwater will host Fun Day on Saturday, July 6, with fireworks after dark.
