Betty J. Kennedy, age 88, of Sedalia and formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, July 4, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the First Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. In addition to her husband, Donald; Betty is survived by six children, Donna Pointer (Lacy) of Sedalia, Lolly Morrow (Barry) of Deepwater, Steve Kennedy (Debbie) of Sedalia, Fred Kennedy (Jana) of Cole Camp, John Kennedy (Laura) of Warrensburg and Paul Kennedy (Christi) of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents: A.D. Halsey and Laura Hall Halsey; five brothers, James L. Halsey, William Halsey, Lester (Tince) Halsey, Paul Halsey and Kenneth D. Halsey; and three sisters, Anna Belle McGraw, Imogene Laxson and Francie Pointer.
