A water quality event is scheduled to be held at Bennett Spring State park later this month.
According to a news release from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Bennett Spring Team # 5462 will meet on July 20, 2019 to discuss the water quality of the waterway.
The public is welcome to attend. The team is expected to give a short water quality lesson followed by a hands-on activity around the Bennett Spring.
Clean, safe, usable water is essential to all life. Pollution can contribute to degrading water quality. Protecting and ensuring the health of our watersheds is everyone’s responsibility. It takes a collaborative network of dedicated citizens all working together to understand and raise awareness about water issues to ensure water quality.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the nature center at Bennett Spring State Park.
Bennett Spring State Park is on 26250 Highway 64A in Lebanon. For more information about the event, call the nature center at 417-532-3925.
Future dates for the stream team meetings are Aug. 17 and Sept. 21.
