A Chillicothe woman has been charged with felonies for allegedly stealing from an outbuilding at a residence on Route U in Tina.
A probable-cause statement says, on June 17, the residents reported to authorities a chainsaw and some tools had been stolen from their shed. The reported stolen items were valued at $1,150.
On June 18, a Livingston County detective passed on information pertaining to some stolen property out of Carroll County being online. Further investigation revealed, on June 20, the items had been pawned in Kansas City by 40-year-old Charity Massey.
Massey has been charged with Class D Felonies for Burglary in the Second Degree and Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been set at $1,500 cash only.
Massey’s initial hearing is pending at Carroll County Circuit Court.
