A Centerview man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Johnson County on Friday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 80-year-old Barbara Mahan, of Osceola, reportedly entered the highway from a J-Turn, and was struck in the rear passenger corner by another eastbound vehicle, driven by 47-year-old Gary Tate, whose vehicle overturned and traveled off the right side of the roadway.
While Mahan reportedly was not injured, Tate was transported by Johnson County ambulance to St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit for treatment.
The crash happened at 6:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50, one-half mile west of Missouri Highway 131.
