An Independence resident sustained minor injuries in a motorcycle crash in Lafayette County on Saturday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 58-year-old Wesley Hardin began to negotiate a right curve, and his southbound 1993 Honda Goldwing ran over loose gravel, which reportedly caused Hardin to lose control. The bike impacted the roadway, ejected Hardin and came to rest off the west side of the roadway.
Hardin reportedly was transported by Wellington E.M.S. to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened at 7:10 a.m. on Route D, north of Oakwood Drive.
