A 56-year-old La Monte man who has been charged with sex-related felonies involving a juvenile in 2018 in Marshall is due in court this week.
A probable-cause statement says Tommy Joe Hotsenpiller is alleged to have inappropriately touched a juvenile female in the parking lot of Marshall High School on the night of November 30. Hotsenpiller was a teacher in the Marshall Public School system who reportedly was terminated in October 2018 and allegedly was trespassing during the incident.
Online court documents say Hotsenpiller has been charged with a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree; a Class E Felony for Sexual Contact with a Student; and a misdemeanor for trespassing. Hotsenpiller posted $25,000 cash bond on December 26; and he pleaded not guilty on March 25.
Hotsenpiller’s plea/trial-setting hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, at Saline County Circuit Court.
