A Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster recovery center will be open for three days starting Wednesday, July 24, in Jackson County to provide one-on-one assistance to Missourians affected by recent flooding, severe storms and tornadoes.
A news release says recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications.
The disaster recovery center will be at the Fort Osage Fire Department at 400 East Monroe Street in Buckner. The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only.
Missourians from any county may visit any recovery center. Before visiting a recovery center, residents are urged to register online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
