Two Aledo, Illinois, residents sustained injuries in a boating accident on a lake in Camden County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a westbound vessel, driven by 43-year-old Jason Roeder, was traveling upstream, struck a wave, reportedly spun out of control and the occupants impacted the vessel.
Roeder reportedly sustained minor injuries and a 7-year-old boy suffered moderate injuries. They reportedly were transported by Osage Beach and Mid-County E.M.S. to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment.
The accident happened at 5:50 p.m. at the 19 mile marker of the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.
