A husband and his wife, of Salisbury, are facing felony charges after authorities were called out to a report of an alleged assault on July 22.
A probable-cause statement says 47-year-old Cynthia Wilson alleged her husband, Richard Wilson, had assaulted her. Upon entry into the home, authorities say they saw a silver grinder they were told belonged to a 13-year-old boy; and Cynthia Wilson reportedly said they “allow him (the 13 year old) to smoke weed now.” Authorities also say they found some non-prescription pills- Clonazepam, Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone.
According to online court documents, Richard Wilson has been charged with a Class E Felony for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree; and Richard and Cynthia Wilson each has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance; and a misdemeanor for endangering the welfare of a child and two drug-related misdemeanors. Richard Wilson posted 10-percent cash on a $4,950 bond. Cynthia Wilson’s bond has been fixed at $10,000, with 10-percent allowed.
Richard Wilson’s initial hearing has been set for Tuesday, August 13, while Cynthia Wilson’s initial hearing is pending at Chariton County Circuit Court.
