Two area residents suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle head-on traffic crash in Saline County on Saturday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred 93-year-old James Staub, of Marshall, reportedly attempted to turn his vehicle west and it crossed in front of an eastbound vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Micaela Black, of Nelson. Black’s vehicle overturned and came to rest on its side in a ditch. Staub reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.
The drivers reportedly were transported by Saline County E.M.S. to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.
The crash happened just before 10:30 a.m. on Route H (Boat Road), west of Lilac Avenue.
