During a public hearing, no comments were made regarding a draft of a zoning ordinance relating to off-street parking in residential districts at the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, August 5.
Later, City Inspector and Code Official Mike Morgan explained the nuts and bolts of the draft of the ordinance. He said in this draft, it changes up some language regarding off-street parking.

Morgan said the issue has been taken through the Planning and Zoning Commission and a public hearing was held.
Mayor Julie Schwetz asked Morgan a question.

Morgan also pointed out this is for new off-street parking; not any already in existence. A vote was not taken on the draft of the ordinance.
In other news, the board approved a proposal to set the annual tax-levy public hearing to take place during its next meeting on Monday, August 19.
