A Lexington man suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash involving three vehicles in Lafayette County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 55-year-old Richard Manley, of Kansas City, reportedly crossed the center line of the roadway and into the path of an eastbound vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Edwin Carrasco, of Waverly. Manley’s vehicle reportedly struck Carrasco’s vehicle and then another eastbound vehicle, driven by 60-year-old Johnny Wilson.
While Carrasco reportedly was not injured, Wilson and Manley, who sustained moderate injuries, were transported by E.M.S. to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 24 at Route BB.
