UPDATE AT 6:30 A.M.: ACCORDING TO MODOT’S TRAVELER INFORMATION MAP, WATER IS NOW OVER THE ROADWAY BETWEEN COUNTY ROADS 360 AND 368. MODOT FLAGGERS ARE ON THE SCENE AND THE ROADWAY IS STILL OPEN AT THIS TIME.
A stretch of U.S. Highway 65 about four miles north of Waverly in Carroll County that had been closed for about two months and was reopened recently is once again being threatened by rising water.
According to an operator at Carroll County Central Dispatch at 5:25 a.m., there is water on the highway, but at that time it had not been reported as being completely over the highway.
She said MoDOT workers are on the scene monitoring the situation.
The roadway is still open, but could be reduced to one lane of traffic.
