Charges have been filed against a 41-year-old Sweet Springs man for allegedly stealing a piece of farm machinery.
According to a report from the Saline County Sheriff’s Department, an investigation into a report of a burglary at a rural residence on 145th Road near Sweet Springs led authorities to identify a suspect.
The resident reported that a 2009 Kubota- orange in color- tractor valued at $10,000 had been stolen off of his property between 5:25 p.m. on August 5 and 8:30 a.m. on August 6.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Michael Dotson has been charged with Class D Felonies for Burglary in the Second Degree and Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been fixed at $10,000 cash or surety.
Dotson’s initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
