A stretch of U.S. Highway 65 about four miles north of Waverly in Carroll County that had been closed for about two months, was reopened recently and was being threatened by rising water earlier today has been closed.
According to an operator at Carroll County Central Dispatch at 5:25 a.m., there was water on the highway, but at that time it had not been reported as being completely over the highway.
According to the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at 6:30 a.m., water was over the roadway between County Roads 360 and 368, but the highway was still open with MoDOT flaggers on the scene.
At 10:45 a.m., according to the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, U.S. Highway 65 has been closed.
