A Sedalia man who allegedly illegally entered a business and exposed himself to a woman has been charged with a felony.
According to a probable-cause statement, Sedalia Police officers arrested 30-year-old Damon Roy Pettis after a woman told authorities she was the victim of a sex crime at Anytime Fitness on Wednesday, August 14. Pettis- who reportedly gained access inside through an unsecured rear door- admitted during his interview with authorities that he is the man in surveillance video.
Online court documents say Pettis is facing a Class B Felony for First-Degree Burglary and a misdemeanor for sexual misconduct. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Pettis’ initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
