The Brunswick R-2 School Board approved the district’s tax levy during its meeting on Monday, August 19.
Superintendent Bob Kottman explains.
In other news, Kottman said the board held a discussion about bond projects. He said in late April, the district put out for bid work needed to be done to elementary classrooms, including storage, new cabinets, countertops and cubbies for the kids to hang their coats.
Kottman said the total project includes 10 classrooms. He said the district would like to get a few done over the Christmas break and then do the rest next summer. He said the hope of breaking it up into smaller projects will generate more bids.
