Three Slater residents suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle head-on traffic crash in Saline County on Saturday.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 79-year-old David Griffitt, reportedly crossed the center line on a hill crest and struck a northbound vehicle, driven by 29-year-old Kevin Brumley, which caused Brumley’s vehicle to overturn.

David Griffitt reportedly was transported by Slater E.M.S. and a passenger in his vehicle- 73-year-old Cynthia Griffitt- and Brumley were flown by Life Flight helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The crash happened at 10:50 a.m.on Lotus Avenue at Route C.
