Three Marshall residents suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Saline County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Sumukh Sathyanarayanapan, of St. Louis, reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck the guardrail, traveled back onto the roadway and struck another eastbound vehicle, driven by 69-year-old Jose Sorto.
While Sathyanarayanapan reportedly was not injured, Sorto and a passenger in his vehicle- 64-year-old Maria Sorto- suffered moderate injuries and another passenger- 34-year-old Christopher Sorto- sustained minor injuries. They reportedly were transported by Saline County E.M.S. to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.
The crash happened at 9:30 p.m. at the 77 mile marker on I-70.
