Several personnel were hired and two resignations were accepted during a closed, executive-session meeting of the Marshall School Board on Tuesday, August 20.
Minutes from the meeting say the board accepted the resignation of Wanda Fletes, EC para; and Kelley Pace, BMS special-education para.
The board also approved the employment of: Emma Lee Luscombe, part-time TLC counselor; Dominick Costanza, NW Focus Room para; Matthew Tolin, custodian CO, BMS, NW; Kimberly Schlomer, part-time BMS band teacher; Wanda Fletes, part-time bus monitor; Josh Glassmaker, JV boys basketball coach; Teresa Lockard, BMS science – critical shortage; and Marianella Benavides, BMS special-education para.
During a closed, executive-session meeting on Friday, August 23, the board approved the hiring of Jonathan White for two days per week as part-time counselor at TLC; and the board will reevaluate his employment at Christmas break.
In addition, Director of Curriculum Services Diane Gillaspie had gone 10 days past her contracted time during the 2018-19 school year and had asked to be paid for these days at a rate of $300 per day. The board voted to pay her $1,500.
