A Marshall woman sustained minor injuries in a traffic crash in Cooper County on Tuesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 31-year-old Eric Swigert, of Sedalia, attempted to make a right turn in his eastbound vehicle, but the vehicle reportedly was traveling too fast, went off the right side of the roadway and struck a rock column lining a private driveway.
While Swigert reportedly was not injured, a passenger in his vehicle, 22-year-old Nicole Williams was transported by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia for treatment. Neither of the vehicle’s occupants reportedly was wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened just before 5:50 p.m. on Beech Lane, two miles east of Route Z.
