The number of major highways in the KMMO listening area closed due to flooding has increased by one.
Due to heavy rainfall throughout much of the area the last couple of days, there are now stretches of major highways closed in Carroll, Lafayette and Johnson Counties.
According to the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, in Carroll County, U.S. Highway 65 remains closed between Waverly and Carrollton.
In Lafayette County, MoDOT closed Missouri Highway 224, between Lexington and Wellington, earlier on Friday, August 30.
In Johnson County, Missouri Highway 23, between Concordia and Knob Noster, remains closed.
