During its meeting on Tuesday, September 3, the Marshall City Council considered approval of the second reading to amend a zoning ordinance relating to off-street parking.
During the council meeting on August 19, City Inspector/Code Official Mike Morgan clarified what the ordinance does not do.

Morgan explained what the ordinance is intended to try to prevent.

Ward 2 Councilman Kirk Arends asked Morgan if he had gotten any feedback on the proposed changes to the ordinance after the August 19 council meeting; and Morgan replied, “I haven’t had any.”
The council voted to approve the ordinance as written. It went into effect upon approval.
