The Missouri Department of Transportation is scheduled to close County Road 1801 at eastbound U.S. Highway 50 as work continues on the Kansas City District’s fourth J-turn on the highway.
A news release from MoDOT says the road is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays from Monday, September 9, through Friday, October 4. A temporary access road will be provided for the businesses on County Road 1801.
In the Kansas City district, J-turns have been installed at U.S. Highway 50 and Missouri Highway 58 five years ago and at U.S. Highway 50 and Missouri Highway 131 in 2017. Both intersections have experienced up to 77 percent in crash reductions.
All work is weather permitting.
