George D. Roby Sr., 69, of Sweet Springs,  died Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, , at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Inurnment with military rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Memorials may be made to family choice. Survivors include one daughter, Angela I. Chapman (Matt) of Warrensburg; two sons, George D. Roby Jr. of Sweet Springs and Robert W. Roby of Sedalia; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Dee Rhoads (Arvid) of Branson; one brother, William Russell “Bud” Hawes (Patricia Susan) of Jamesport, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Albert LeRoy Roby and Mary Margaret Mitchell Roby Barnett; and wife, Letha French Robinson, he was preceded in death by one son, Matthew “Jed” Roby; one daughter, Mary Ann Finch; and one brother, James Michael Moran Sr.
