According to a post on the Saline County Coroner’s Facebook Page, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the coroner was requested by the Marshall Police Department to respond to a residence in the 300 block of West Boyd Street.
The post says upon arrival, the coroner was briefed by Marshall Police officers as to their information regarding the residence and then entered the residence with the officers.
The post continued: “I observed a deceased person within the residence and have ordered an autopsy to be done. As with any unattended death, the scene is treated as a crime scene until a thorough investigation has been done by (the) Marshall Police Department, Saline County Coroner’s Office, and any other requested agencies.”
According to a release from the Marshall Police Department on Tuesday, September 10, a postmortem examination by the University of Missouri Medical Examiner’s Office found that there was no signs of foul play in the death of Beverly A. Duff.
