Charles Vernon Lenger, 86, of Wooldridge, died Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Pleasant Grove Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will take place from 5-7PM on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, MO. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Lutheran Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Waldemar and Louise Lenger (Stock); a brother, Aubrey Lenger; and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Lenger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lola Lenger (Stock) of the home; a brother, Norman Lenger (Pat), Boonville, MO; an aunt, Audrey Lenger, Boonville, MO;  a son, Gary Lenger (Kim), Columbia, MO;  two daughters, Pamela Vassar (Jack), Olathe, KS, and Connie Gerdt (Kevin), Wooldridge, MO; seven grandchildren, Emily Lenger, Ashley Smith, Kourtney Vassar, Kyle Vassar, Parker Gerdt, Amanda Skultka, and Amy Weathers; three great-grandchildren, Zackary Brice, Jackson Weathers, Owen Weathers, with one great-grandchild to be born in January, 2020.
