A Carrollton woman who allegedly threatened to harm or kill people earlier this year has been charged with a felony in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, on June 21, an employee at the Department of Social Services, Children’s Division, in Marshall reported to authorities of having a phone conversation with a victim, who claimed on June 20 Bethany Leanne Creason stated she would get up at 5 a.m., go to the DFS Office, located at 1239 Santa Fe Trail, and do harm or kill all of the social workers as they arrive for work. That statement, along with other alleged threats, were deemed credible by employees and administration at the agency, which caused them fear and apprehension in performing their duties.
During an interview with authorities on June 21, Creason admitted to some of the allegations but denied others.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Creason has been charged with a Class E Felony for Terrorist Threat in the Second Degree; and a misdemeanor for harassment. The court has ordered no bond in the matter at this time.
Creason was scheduled to be arraigned at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, at Saline County Circuit Court. No other information is available at this time.
