Barbara Ann (Gregory) Owen-West, age 87, of Nelson, died on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Services will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday, September 17, at Nelson Baptist Church, where visitation begins at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Salt Fork Cemetery in Nelson.

Individual viewing also will be held during office hours on Monday, September 16, at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Nelson Baptist Church or Disabled American Veterans.

Barbara is survived by her siblings, Wanda Goin, Ada Ashlock and Marjorie Burlingame; daughter, Kathy West (Gary), of Nelson; and grandchildren of her and Mervin Owen are Jeremiah West (Teena), Angela Winkler (Larry), Joshua Lim, Jedidiah West (Tara), Anna Bracken (William), Josiah West (Jennifer), Abigail DeVorss (Austin), along with 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Also of Ray’s eight kids, Judy Busick (Jr), of Pleasant Hill, Bill West (Irene), of Lees Summit, Bev Thompson (Larry), of Stover, Don West (Joyce), of Greenwood, Gary West (Kathy), of Nelson, Brenda Rush (Terry), of Lees Summit, Wanda Villines, of Kansas City, and Ken West (Edie), of Warsaw.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin Owen; daughters, Debra Norene and Patricia Sue; parents, Charles Herbert and Nora Emma; siblings, Herbert Gregory, Nettie Dover, Loren Gregory, Norma Morosco, Roselma Collins, Mary Weaver, Ivan Gregory and Leonora Gregory; and her second husband, William Raymond (Ray) West, father of Gary West (Kathy).
