Edna L. Smith, age 91, of rural Houstonia, died Saturday, September 14, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19, at First Baptist Church in Houstonia. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Houstonia or the charity of donor’s choice.

Survivors include three daughters: Becky Gerke (Bruce), Sherri Johnson (Russell), and Debbie Gieseke (Craig), all of rural Houstonia; five grandchildren: Terry Gerke, Leah Johnson, and Katie, Lizzie and Chris Gieseke; five siblings: Carl Kreisel, of rural Houstonia, Bertha Charles, of Sedalia, Herb Kreisel, of Fairfield, IL, Marge Charles, of rural Sweet Springs, and Eldon Kreisel, of Hughesville; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Herbert H. Kreisel and Goldie May Frisch Kreisel and husband, Clifford E. Smith; Edna was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Johnson; and one sister, Lola May Dieckhoff.
