Road and bridge work projects are scheduled to take place this week in Chariton County.
According to MoDOT, pavement repair is scheduled to take place on Missouri Highway 5, from U.S. Highway 24 to Route KK, Monday-Wednesday.
Also, pavement repair is scheduled on Missouri Highway 11, from Routes E to M, on Thursday and Friday.
In addition, Route F will be closed at Palmer Creek for bridge maintenance from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Bridge-replacement projects are taking place on U.S. Highway 24, as well, over the Mussel Fork River and Overflow Bridges west of Keytesville through early 2020. Traffic will be diverted over a one-lane, signalized bypass during the replacement of the Mussel Fork River Overflow Bridge. A 10-foot width restriction is in place. A bridge-replacement project at the Middle Fork Chariton River and Overflow bridges also is taking place through early 2020. Traffic will be directed through the work zone with temporary traffic signals. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.
These bridges are part of Governor Mike Parson’s Focus on Bridges plan.
