A Bell, California, resident has been charged with a couple of drug-related felonies after a traffic stop on I-70 in Cooper County on September 12.
A probable-cause statement says- with the help of a K-9- a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper says he found 11 vacuum-sealed bags that contained a total of approximately 20 pounds of methamphetamine. Johnny Jordan Thompson was arrested and also told authorities he had personal-use methamphetamine on his person once he reached the Cooper County Jail.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued and 45-year-old Thompson has been charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs or Attempt; and a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance at a County Jail. The court has ordered no bond.
Thompson’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
