During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, September 19, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner said the weather forecast is looking a bit grim with more rain expected and the river levels predicted to rise again.

Saline County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day said the levees already are damaged, so there is nothing to really hold back the water if area rivers rise as predicted.
With that in mind, commissioners advise there could be road closures due to flooding again.
