A Brunswick man is facing a felony charge for allegedly burglarizing a residence in the 900 block of Meyer Road in Brunswick sometime between August 1 and 15, 2019.
According to a probable-cause statement, the resident reported several items as being stolen, including: a Canon digital camera; keys; a stamp collection in a metal box; coins; jewelry; and a revolver.
On September 13, some items reportedly were recovered from a vehicle in which Wyatt Don Short was riding. Short reportedly told authorities a green camouflage bag was his; and inside it was the metal box with the stamp collection, the camera and a wooden jewelry box. Those items were positively identified by the owner.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Short has been charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree and two misdemeanors for stealing. Bond has been set at $2,500 cash only.
Short’s initial hearing is pending at Chariton County Circuit Court.
