The Higginsville Board of Aldermen considered approval of some action items involving annual ambulance rates and dispatching agreements with Lafayette County entities during its meeting this week.
City Administrator Jeanette Dobson explained the ambulance rates.

Dobson also explained the dispatching services agreements. She said they do this every year because the city is contracted to do the county’s dispatching. So every year, there are new agreements with each of the entities for the service.

According to a release from Dobson, the rates are: $33,620 for the Odessa Fire District; $31,080 for the city of Lexington; $19,775 for the Higginsville Fire District; $18,970 for the Concordia Fire District; $18,240 for the city of Odessa; $9,355 for the Wellington Fire District; $8,920 for the city of Concordia; $6,520 for the Corder Fire District; $6,380 for the Alma Fire District; $5,900 for the city of Waverly; $3,880 for the Mayview Fire District; $2,500 for the city of Bates City; and $2,000 each for the cities of Alma, Corder, Lake Lafayette, Napoleon and Wellington. These total $175,140.
