A Lawson woman was killed in an automobile accident in Ray County on Friday, September 27, 2019.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, 38-year-old Misty Newell was killed after she was struck by the 2006 Ford driven by 35-year-old Christopher Brooks of Richmond. According to the report, Newell was improperly riding on the vehicle when she fell out of the passenger side window and was struck.
Brooks was reportedly not injured. Newell was pronounced deceased at the scene by Ray County Paramedic.
The crash happened at 11:30 p.m. on Route Y.
