John A. Bacon, age 70, of Columbia and formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, where visitation begins at 12:30 p.m. Inurnment, with military rites, will follow at the Missouri State Veterans’ Cemetery in Higginsville.

Memorials may be made to Gill Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Chase, of Columbia; two grandsons, Cody Chase and Connor Chase; and one brother, Paul Bacon.

In addition to his parents, Jack Bacon and Velma Baker Bacon, and wife, Boontiang Sripukdee; John was preceded in death by one brother, David Bacon.
