MARSHALL MAYOR PRAISES PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS, PERSONNEL

As part of her report during the Marshall City Council meeting on Monday, October 7, Mayor Julie Schwetz heaped praise on the public safety officers and personnel for their response to two different shooting incidents last week as well as the handling of multiple events over the weekend.

Schwetz pointed out personnel were on the scene of Marshall High School’s football game on Friday; Missouri Valley College’s homecoming weekend; and Octoberfest on the square on Saturday.

Later in the meeting, Marshall Police Chief Mike Donnell praised officers for their response to the shootings at two different locations on Thursday, October 3.

There is no update on the case. As of this time, the person of interest- 41-year-old Terrell Palmer- still has not been apprehended.
