Alden Hart Elsea, age 85, of Marshall, died September 12, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marshall.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cumberland Church’s Samaritan Fund or to the new Marshall Dog Park in care of the Saline Animal League.

Alden is survived by his loving wife Katye, sister Lynne Shoemaker (Bill), sister-in-law Doris Bacon Elsea, daughters Robyn Elsea (Mike), Vicki Shannon (Randy), Becky Dinkins (Walter), Tracy Blazier (Aaron), 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren (and one on the way), several Missouri Valley international students who have become like family, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Dr. Elmer and Lillian Elsea, Alden was preceded in death by his brother Chris Elsea.
