CONCORDIA ALDERMEN VOTE TO APPROVE MOVING FORWARD WITH ROADWORK PROJECT

The Concordia Board of Aldermen considered approval of a proposal to continue work on a street during its meeting on Monday, October 7.

According to minutes from the meeting, discussion of proposed work on NW 8th Street -estimate from Tom Rinne in the amount of $12,887; estimate of Crockett Engineering for soil and concrete testing at $1,000; and work to replace 59 feet of driving surface and replace 35 feet of curbing (recommended to begin on the north side of the road as it is expected to have the least impact on traffic if it needs to be let set for 28 days) was held.

Aldermen voted 4-0 to move forward with the project, which is estimated to begin late November or early December.
