A Sedalia man has been charged with felonies for allegedly burglarizing a residence and attempting to steal a vehicle on September 13.
According to a probable-cause statement, a woman reported a burglary at a residence in the 31500 block of Route M in Pettis County. She reported as she was driving by the residence, she found a white male subject attempting to leave the home of her relative in her relative’s vehicle. After being confronted, she said the man fled the scene on foot and left the vehicle and its contents behind. The vehicle reportedly contained various items that originally were inside the woman’s relative’s home.
The witness identified the subject from a 12-person photo lineup of white men with similar physical features.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Travis Lee Edgar has been charged with Class D Felonies for Burglary in the Second Degree and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. The court has ordered no bond at this time.
Edgar’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
