Superintendent Brian Cordel said the New Franklin R-1 School District will be asking voters for an increase in its operating tax levy in less than three weeks.

Cordel said the increase the district is asking for is $1.
Cordel said, if approved, the additional $1 will increase the operating levy to $4.20 per $100 of assessed valuation on real and personal property.
Voters within the district will go to the polls to cast their ballots on Tuesday, November 5.
