A multiple vehicle crash in Howard County sent two people to the hospital on Friday, October 18, 2019.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred as 18-year-old Samuel Bello, of Lamont and 29-year-old Mia Burnes of Fayette were southbound and slowing down for traffic. The report states the southbound vehicle driven 56-year-old Clarence Howery, of Boonville, rear-ended the car being driven by Bello which pushed Bello’s vehicle into the SUV driven by Burnes. After the impact Howery and Bello’s vehicles left the highway.
Howery sustained serious injuries while Bello was moderately injured. Both drivers were transported by Cooper County EMS to University Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred just after 3 o’clock on Friday afternoon on State Highway 5 at County Road 450.
