Two Cole Camp residents were injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Benton County on Saturday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 42-year-old Timothy Stutes, reportedly crossed the center of the roadway and struck an eastbound vehicle, driven by 65-year-old Connie Corpening. Stutes’ vehicle reportedly ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a fence. Corpening’s vehicle reportedly ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence.
Stutes reportedly was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment of serious injuries; while Corpening was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia for treatment of moderate injuries.
The crash happened just before 5:50 p.m. on Missouri Highway 52, west of Dodge Pond Avenue.
