Two Holden residents sustained injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 17-year-old Daniel McBryar, of Sweet Springs, reportedly fell asleep and his eastbound vehicle overtook and struck the rear of another eastbound vehicle, driven by 45-year-old John Morris. While McBryar’s vehicle reportedly traveled off the roadway and came to rest, Morris’ vehicle struck a guardrail, overturned and came to rest.
Morris and a passenger in his vehicle- 17-year-old Peter Morris- reportedly were transported by E.M.S. to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of minor and moderate injuries, respectively. McBryar reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened at 8 a.m. at the 58 mile marker on I-70.
