A Waverly resident sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as 28-year-old Alyssa Plaggemeyer was stopped in the roadway waiting to make a left turn in her eastbound vehicle, and it reportedly was struck in the rear by another eastbound vehicle, driven by 60-year-old Alvin Harman, of Carrollton.
While Harman reportedly was not injured, Plaggemeyer was transported by Lexington Fire and Rescue ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.
The crash happened at 2:30 p.m. on Walnut Street at the entrance to Santa Fe Elementary School in Waverly.
