A Mexico resident suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle rollover traffic crash in Cooper County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 72-year-old Robert Boahrer, was entering the interstate, and another eastbound vehicle, driven by 19-year-old David Win, of Columbia, reportedly traveled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck Boahrer’s vehicle. Win’s vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and came to rest in a ditch. Boahrer’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned and came to rest on its passenger’s side.
While Win reportedly was not injured, Boahrer was transported by ambulance to Pinnacle Regional Hospital in Boonville for treatment.
The crash happened just before 6:20 p.m. just east of the 102 mile marker on I-70.
